Off to church!

Yep, you read that right...I went to church today, a catholic mass in Italian!  Understood very, very few words and stood, squatted and sat lots of times.  However, the church I attended was amazing! Church of Ognissanti, was founded and built between 1251-1260 and was re-constructed in1582, being renamed San Salvatore a Ognissanti (St Saviour at All Saints).  Giotto created the Madonna and Child that stood on the high alter in 1310, which is now in the Uffizi. There are 2 frescos on opposite walls that were painted in 1480.  The most radical changes to the church were made between the 17th and 18th century.  The ceiling Giuseppe Romei painted the Glory of St. Francis in 1770.

One fresco is in the center of the two small arches.
The other fresco, small above the candles.
 The ceiling!
